The Good Things in Life: Agnes

When you want to clear your head, there’s nothing better than going for a long walk with a little fluffy bundle of joy. Agnes IMG_1568IMG_1618When I’m back in the motherland, Agnes likes to invite me to go out with her to explore the sights, sounds and smells of the Somerset countryside.IMG_1608This trip back home was no exception, so I popped on my wellies and off we headed, with Agnes taking the lead, and trotting along as fast as her little legs would carry her.IMG_1584 IMG_1611When you live in a city like I do now, you really miss out on the gorgeous countryside. Luckily Agnes likes to stop every now and again to rummage in the undergrowth, so this gave me plenty of little opportunities to stop and admire my surroundings.IMG_1595 IMG_1610 IMG_1594 IMG_1558 IMG_1551 IMG_1576With Agnes guiding our direction, we decided to go up the Glastonbury Tor.Glastonbury Tor This is such an iconic and spiritual location, and offers great views over Somerset if you go up on a bright clear day.IMG_1621 IMG_1626 IMG_1622 IMG_1657 IMG_1658There is normally a good mix of locals and tourists up here, meaning plenty of new people for Agnes to meet and potentially beg some more treats from!IMG_1625 IMG_1636IMG_1631When it’s such a lovely day, it’s wonderful to just lie down on the ground, nestled in the grass, and enjoy the cool breeze blowing along. However, this does come with the risk of being at the same level of Agnes’ mouth, so doggy kisses may be coming at you.Agnes torIMG_1629I must have walked up the Glastonbury Tor so many times, yet I never ever get bored of the view. It never disappoints!View of Somerset from the Glastonbury TorAgnes and I could sit up there for hours.IMG_1659However, eventually, dinner beckoned, so we started on the long trek home. IMG_1583Both of us slept very well that night!
