The New Northerner Flowers 2 Having fresh flowers always seems like a little bit of a luxury to me. They are so beautiful, and yet so fleeting. I live in an apartment in the city, so having a small bit of the countryside in the house always makes me happy. Now that it’s summer time, I definitely need to start up a little mini garden of pots and plants on my balcony when I get a spare weekend, but until then, I’ve been tiding myself over with the odd vase of pretty flowers and attempting to grow a few herbs.The New Northerner Flowers 8 I love watching the flowers develop from little closed-up buds, to beautiful exuberant displays… The New Northerner Flowers 5 The New Northerner Flowers 7 The transformation is just gorgeous…The New Northerner Flowers 6 The New Northerner Flowers 4 Sometimes, just the simplest things can be the most beautiful.The New Northerner Flowers 3 The New Northerner FlowersThis is my first post in what I hope will be a little series of all of the good things in life that make me smile.   2. Well that’s it. I’m off to buy some fresh flowers. They are beautiful. I’m having a deep clean tonight (Is it wrong I’m excited to do it? New mum syndrome who doesn’t get chance.) Then I’m going to go and buy some flowers ready for the weekend,
