The Good Things in Life – Fresh Flowers

 Having fresh flowers always seems like a little bit of a luxury to me. They are so beautiful, and yet so fleeting. I live in an apartment in the city, so having a small bit of the countryside in the house always makes me happy. Now that it’s summer time, I definitely need to start up a little mini garden of pots and plants on my balcony when I get a spare weekend, but until then, I’ve been tiding myself over with the odd vase of pretty flowers and attempting to grow a few herbs. I love watching the flowers develop from little closed-up buds, to beautiful exuberant displays…   The transformation is just gorgeous…  Sometimes, just the simplest things can be the most beautiful. This is my first post in what I hope will be a little series of all of the good things in life that make me smile. I hope you enjoy them!
